Connections (a poem of sorts by Christopher Klinges)

I feel like a tree

Whose branches stretch everywhere

But never reach a solid connection;

They grow into the air

And dangle there.

I'd rather feel like a bridge

Which vaults from solid ground

Through space to solid ground;

Whose airy interlude

Has connections at the end.
