Soul Light Love Expanding
Life has reasons we don't understand:
It's the universe; it's a starry place.
Lovers live to love. People live by love.
Spirits, hearts, and souls married in love's embrace.
Words are stirred anew with passion born again
Desire inflames mind, body, heart and soul
Beauty at the source draws love to the source
Love flows to the soul; light fills the darkness.
CHORUS 1
Soul light love expanding,
Voice of love commanding:
Blessed spirits' bliss event;
Life fulfilled in this moment
Spirit's embodied touch, lying side by side
It's a whispered touch; it's a mystery.
Universal light beams between the hearts.
Spirits - naked - touch;, bathed within the light.
In the night again lovers whisper love.
Chosen vessels filled; hearts and lives fulfilled.
All the things we know dance in the memory.
We're the light of love filling the universe.
CHORUS 1
Vision so beautiful, one look and love is formed
One touch enfolds and fills vessels of love unchained
Lingering innocence; man and woman the mystery
Loving the mystery; one word and ecstasy
Pulses of life within transform the shapes of things
Whispering in the heart voices the passion's flow
Feeling the lover's heart; holding the body near
Songs of the lover's source; refrains of lover's touch.
CHORUS 1
CHORUS 2
Soul light love expanding,
Love's force voiced commanding:
Life renewed in this event;
Divine union at this moment.
We're the light of love filling the universe
We're the light of love filling the universe
We're the light of love filling the universe
We're the light of love filling the universe

(copyright 1990, 2017 by Chris Klinges - Almost Music Productions)
Music, lyrics and performance by Chris Klinges (Time of Noah) June, 2017
Notes: This was originally written as a love song to a kind woman I dated long ago. I decided to rework the music somewhat (and the lyrics in large measure) to be a flow of consciousness reverie (meditation, if you like) regarding the New Birth and resurrection.
A basic power cord progression with an avant-garde acid-rock influenced lead (from behind) guitar accompaniment. Three Stratocaster guitar parts and three vocal parts mixed on a 4-track Micro-BR portable mixer with an edited onboard drum machine backing.
[Track 10.5 in the ongoing "Almost Music" album project. (Track ".5" is an inchoate -- at this point -- cover of Johnny Cash's "Redemption".]
