Torture by Franco’s regime as the model for future police state actions

The following is quoted from a report given by a torture victim of the Franco regime during the 1970s.

"They were tearing my skin off piece by piece. They laughed at me: ‘Don't get your hopes up. Nothing will ever happen to us. And, we are the police of the future.’ "

(Subsequent history has proven the torturers correct. They never were punished for their crimes: neither by the regime itself, nor by its successors in Spain. They have also successfully escaped judgement, conviction and retribution by the international courts of the EU and UN.)
