after what's been said between us
with our eyes?
Our looks
and what they say
race far ahead of what we can say
to one another.
Modest
Honest
Warm...
Our eyes invite
what words would harm.
There's understanding
in the touch between our eyes
that brings us close without a word;
a purity,
an invitation,
(a revelation of desire).
It makes us kindred
in searching for
more clarity
more light
(and ultimately)
so much more.
