In the world described above
Increasingly bereft of love
More each day it’s clear to see
This is no world for me
Friends turn hateful selfishly
Disinterest shown habitually
And more and more I’ve learned to see
This is no world for me
Here I know I have no part
Lest I too form a stony heart
I must prepare then to depart
Before love seems no more to be
I know this world is not for me
John 15:9b “…because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”
