Psalm 2:1-5 KJV “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.”
Resentment of punishment by reprobate criminals and their recidivistic insistence on committing ever more egregious offenses should be no surprise to those of us living in these times. Whether we — as individuals and self-responsible— be innocent of (or complicit in) the terrible transgressions of the present day, none are blind to society’s liberality and docile tolerance that permit the criminality and crimes by never truly and absolutely prohibiting or punishing them.
But, “the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”
Without presuming to know God’s perfect will for His determined end to this age, let us all with trepidation consider that which has been said in the past (to His everlasting honor) by His ministers: “If the Lord God does not sorely chasten or utterly destroy America, He will surely have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”
